This private residence was in one of the most sort after areas of Floreat, with stunning mid-century properties in abundance. The generous property frontage gave a sense of openness and gracefulness with the nostalgia of roaming free on wide open verges and safe quiet streets. The clients were undertaking redecorating in a staged and considered manner to adapt to the needs of their family and balancing working from home.
Our work
The first pieces made for this home were a main bedroom suite consisting of a king side bed frame, bed side tables and a chest of drawers in stunning WA Sheoak. The substantial bed posts were softened with a tapered rounded form and the overall bed was kept light and airy with an open slatted bed head so as not to dominate the room. The bed side tables were a customised variant of our ‘Nocturne’ bed side table product. A practical chest of drawers with the same open finger pull detail as the bedside tables sat to the side.
Several other pieces were made for the home including two desks in French Oak for a home office which were future proofed by clever bolt together joinery to enable the desks to sit in ‘L’ configuration or as separate pieces that could be moved into alternate arrangements or rooms. The client selected the square ‘Adagio’ coffee table and two ‘Treble’ stools in Jarrah for the lounge.
